I’m running n8n locally, and with every new release, I end up repeating the exact same steps to update and pull the latest image. So I decided to try something different.

I asked Gordon, Docker, Inc‘s built-in AI agent, if it could help me automate the entire process. The results were surprisingly good. Since then, all I need to do is ping Gordon and say, “Update n8n.” 😅

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a post about how user interfaces are undergoing a fundamental shift. This is another example of that change. Instead of clicking through menus or searching documentation, we’re increasingly interacting with software through conversation and intent.

The interface is becoming less about where buttons are and more about simply describing what you want to accomplish.
